Baltiyskoe Deposit (Brown Bear)

“Baltiyskoe” is one of the largest and most developed deposits of ornamental hard rocks in North-West region of Russia. The deposit is situated on a hill slope. The total square of the quarry is 9,22 hectares. The explored reserves of stones are 907,0 thous. m3.

Since 2005 the extraction is being carried out with diamond wire-sawing technology. Propitious tectonic conditions of deposit, water resources with water-heating system make it possible to use this extraction technology all year around 365 days in a year.

This method of extraction in combination with even middle-and coarse-grained structure of “Baltiyskoe” grano-syenite allows to obtain good-shaped blocks of all dimensions without loosing of natural quality.

“Baltiyskoe” granosyenite

“Baltiyskoe” grano-syenite (“Brown Bear”) is one of the best-known and most-demanded ornamental hard rocks in Russia. Owing to stable quality, homogeneous structure, soft color variations, physico-mechanical properties and mineral composition “Brown Bear” is an indispensable material for street furnishing, facade coating and funerary. It is equally fine with all types of face finishing. In polishing additional attractiveness is reached due to veins of pinky-red color and lots with medium-coarse pink crystals.
